Rhea's 21st birthday cake!

Mom's 60th birthday cake
Here are some pictures of the white roses I made for my mom’s 60th birthday cake.
Here’s the final cake! I made the calla lilies and roses, but the cake was a store bought cake. I was in a rush and I didn’t have a pan large enough to feed 50 people :( Everyone seemed to like it. My mom was happy.

Rosalyn bakes!
August 13, 2011 - My niece, Rosalyin, was visiting from Washington for the summer and since her birthday was coming up, we decided to make her a birthday cake. She was so excited to make this cake. Cakepops for Lilah's birthday!
July 15, 2011 - I made these for my friend’s daughter’s 3rd birthday. I tried to make animal prints to match the birthday party invitations. I made funfetti cakepops with funfetti frosting. Yummy!!

Cake pops!
May 23, 2011 - My friend, Jessica, came to the bay for the weekend and we decided to celebrate by making cake pops! She gave us professional tips on how to make cake pops the “right” way because the first time I tried, my cake pops turned in to cake balls :( So, I was glad she was here to help us! SO much fun hanging out with my loverlies!

May 20, 2011 - I was asked to whip up some cupcakes for my sister’s boyfriend’s birthday. I made orange frosting using red and yellow gel, grabbed some oreos, and here they are! A little sloppy work, but I needed em right away.

May 20, 2011 - I made this cake as a surprise for my BF’s best friend. He loves the Giants. This was my first sport’s team cake and I think it went okay. I messed up in a few spots, but luckily you can’t tell ;) I just covered it up with fondant. hehe

May 18, 2011 - My mom asked me to make a money lei for her co-worker’s son. She chose gold and black as the accent colors. I used quarters (and saran wrap) as as the base to hold the lei together. I’ve been making these for years now…they’re cute and fun to make!
Bridal shower cake
April 2011 - Here’s a bridal shower cake I made for my SIL’s (sis in law) sister-in-law! It was fun. I had a few wrinkles at the bottom of this cake so I just covered it up with fondant. For the bow: this was the bow I made in cake decorating class so I just added shimmery powder and voila!

April 2011 - My sis-in-law asked me to make bridal shower cupcakes for her soon-to-be sis-in-law’s (I know sounds confusing) bridal shower. The theme for her wedding is blue cherry blossoms. I made 24 cupcakes and had a few left over so I decided to make a few hearts out of strawberries to put on the extra ones. i <3 strawberries!

I was asked to make invitations for my good friend’s baby shower…she’s having a boy! She wanted a teddy bear theme so I went with brown and baby blue for the invitations. I love that color combintaion. I also printed out little pictures of her sonogram to add on the invitations just so that everyone can see her lil buddle of joy!

April 4, 2011 - So, somehow I got sucked in to take the second class…fondant & gum paste and I’m glad I did! Here is my first fondant project. I learned how to put it all together using gum paste glue! This bow took almost 4 days to dry. yikes!

April 2, 2011 - I was asked to make cupcakes for my cousin’s baby shower. She didn’t know what she wanted as the theme, so I just decided to make shaggy mum flower, teddy bear, & balloon cupcakes. I added a lil touch by printing out her sonogram & attaching every picture to tooth picks to add a little pizazz!
